Job Description
Respected Latrobe company is looking for a Packaging Technician
Payrate and shift
- $17/hr temp to hire
- Monday through Friday OT as needed
- 8-10 hour shift
Duties include but not limited to:
- Perform cosmetic clean up of items and painting as required; Complete custom packaging for all jobs
- Safely handle and transport packaging materials; Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments
- Conduct inspections of packaged products; Photographing all packaged goods for each job; Identify and address any packaging defects or discrepancies
- Operate packaging machinery and equipment; Perform routine maintenance tasks on packaging equipment
- Maintain detailed records of packaged quantities, product codes, job numbers, etc
- Adhere to all safety protocols; Follow proper handling procedures
- Coordinate packaging activities with production and shipping; Actively participate in process improvement initiatives

Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent (tech certifications or vocational training a plus)
- Proven experience in packaging within a manufacturing environment (job shop setting experience is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail; Ability to read/interpret packaging specifications and instructions
